The Scandal of Sacramentality: The Eucharist in Literary and Theological Perspectives is now available from Wipf & Stock and other online booksellers. I was pleased that my publishers and the Stadtmuseum in Nördlingen, Germany, where the painting is housed, granted permission to use this 1469 painting by Friedrich Herlin, entitled Der Eucharistische Schmerzensmann (“The Eucharistic Man of Sorrows”), as my cover.
